Why Your Website Get Penalized By Google? - Friendotech!

Bloggers are soul of the web. Without bloggers, we can not imagine about the existence of the web. I mean:

  • There will be no articles related to any stuffs.
  • There will be no questions or answers which we deal in our daily life.
  • There will be no online business.
  • No promotion.
  • No advertising.
  • Google search won't be billions in numbers.

Leaving these aside, we are here to discuss about the "Google Penalty".

As we have seen a humongous increase in the number of blogs on the Google search in past few years, this resulted in the increase of number of blogs which are spam or using copied contents from the web. Many bloggers were facing the issue regarding page index on Google search as many copied were also available on the search engine. As a result, Google decided to change their search algorithm and now they are "PENALIZING" those sites which contains copied content on the web.

But as we all know that these works are mostly done by Google Bots and these Bots can make mistakes. Sometimes, even those pages (or post) get "PENALIZED" by Google which do not have any copied content. These mistakes are mostly done by Google Bots. Few weeks ago, even I suffered with the same.

Here's the answer!

If your website traffic suddenly drops and you see a corresponding decline in rankings, there is a good possibility that you are on the receiving end of a Google penalty.
A Google penalty means that your site is either no longer listed on search results, or that your ranking for your targeted keywords has dropped dramatically.

When your site gets a Google penalty, your target audience can't find you and when you are invisible to your target audience, your traffic, and ultimately revenue, drops.

After seeing a sudden drop in your rank and traffic, you may think about all the wrong things that you've done on website, given that you haven't cheated Google by doing the following things:

  • Don't go for buying links.
This practice is very dangerous because Google is aware of this unscrupulous activity. If you buy links, then you could end up spending money to get your site penalized. I don't how but they can easily identify the spam links or any suspicious activities going on your sites. They have a very strong algorithm which helps them in identifying the natural organic traffic and purchased organic traffic.
  • Do not link to bad page rank sites.
Check your backlinks and Disavow bad links. You can choose tools like Google Search Console and Majestic to check your backlinks. If you find any of them as spam, then you should Disavow them. Generally, what we do is we link our site to any high authority domains which is good, but if the respective site is bad, then it might lead you to suffer Penalty.
  • Don’t use sneaky mobile redirects.
When someone lands on their website from some mobile device then, they redirect them to a different site which is not relevant even with the content of on original site. Google penalize the sites that use sneaky mobile redirects. Redirects should be there but not an improper one.
  • Don’t sell your link.
If Google finds your link as link farm then you will be penalized and all your effort to rank your page will go in vain. Practicing link selling is not a good idea at all, you should contact other expert bloggers whose blogs are already ranking high on search engines and ask for having backlinks from them. This will not affect your site and you'll have a quality backlinks too.
  • Don’t use duplicate content.
This is the most common reason why your site may get penalized for Google. If your site appears to be a duplicate one, then it won’t appear on the search engine. As said by Neil Patel, Google is on an uncompromising mission as it wants to give its users access to accurate information, unique content and the finest writers.

The above reason is enough to understand that Google is not going to rank your site on their search unless until you have original content on your site. So, take time and go for unique and original content.
  • Keyword Stuffing.
We all know the importance of keywords in SEO. It is said that we should use long tail keywords and that the density of the keywords should be high in our blog post but something is not correct here.
There's not a single which proves that having high density in your blog post will rank it higher on the search engine. Yes, your post depends on the keywords but many other factors also come into the act when ranking is considered. Domain authority, page authority, domain age, site's description and many more.

If Google detects the keyword stuffing in your site, it may lead your to site penalization. Have some patience and let your domain to get old and gain authority.

These are some of the reasons why your site have been penalized by Google. If you've done something wrong (or anything which are mentioned above), then your site deserves it.

However, if you haven't practiced anything which are mentioned above, then don't worry, because it happens sometimes because of some errors.

In case, you want to index your site within the next 24 hours (because sometimes Google takes more than 2-3 days to index the site), then switch to this article on Get Your New Website Indexed In 24 Hours!

This article will surely help you in indexing your published post in less than 24 hours. I'd used this earlier and got indexed my site in less than 20 minutes.

After following the above steps (which were mentioned on, don't forget to submit your sitemap on Google Search Console. It reminds Google Bots that your site has new published post which has to be crawled by them.

You can also follow these steps:

  • Go to Google search console.
  • On the left side, you'll see "Crawl" option. Click on it.

  • Now, click on "Fetch As Google" and submit the link to it. For example, if the published post (post which was published by you but not indexed by Google) link is "", then you have to paste only "2018/07/radio-garden-garden-for-radio-lovers.html/?m=1" in the given box. After paste your post link, click on "Fetch". Don't forget to repeat the above step for Mobile: Smartphone. You can select it from the given combo box.
After the above procedure, you should wait for at least 24 hours and then you should check if your site has been indexed by Google by entering "site:" in the search box.
