Playing video games is one of the most lovable hobby among the youngsters. Nowadays, video games are coming with very high and advanced graphics which needs more RAM in our PC (mostly above 4 GB). These modern video games can only be played in powerful PC or in the Gaming consoles. But way back in the 90s, all the video games which were introduced to us, was used to be very light and can easily be played in any computers. Though, at that time the computers were used to be very expensive which couldn't be afforded by everyone.

We can easily understand the difference between video games of 90s and video games at present by the fact that the total size of "THE SUPER MARIO" game was less than the screenshot taken while playing "THE SUPER MARIO" game. With all the above discussion, I know you must be wanted to play those old days games.

Road Rash is one of my favorite game. This game is a motorcycle-racing video game series, created by Electronic Arts in which the player participates in violent and illegal street races. According to EA, the title is based on the slang term for the severe friction burns that can occur in a bike fall, where skin comes into contact with the ground at high speed.
After downloading the game, you won't be able to run it directly after installing it as this game needs CD-ROM drive. So, in order to run this game, you need to create a virtual CD-ROM with the help of ULTRA ISO (Download).

This 1980 old classic games is one of the most loved games out there. It was created by Toru Iwatani (a Japanese game designer) and licensed for distribution in the US by Midway Games and finally released in October 1980. Pac-Man is considered as one of the classics of the medium and an icon 1980s popular culture.
Pac-Man is considered as the landmark in video game history and is among the most famous arcade games of all time. You can play it on Google but having it in your desktop will surely give you a different feel.

Space Invaders were ruling market before Pac-Man arrived. Space Invaders was launched in 1978 and was created by Tomohiro Nishikado (a Japanese game designer) and was sold by Taito in Japan and later licensed by the Midway division of Bally. It is one of the earliest shooting games and the aim is to defeat waves of aliens with a laser canon to earn as many points as possible. The shooter which was given to the player was fixed (means you can not move the shooter here and there). It was the first video games of its kind.

Donkey Kong is a series of video games featuring the adventures of an monkey cum Donkey like character (known as Donkey Kong) and launched by Shigeru Miyamoto in 1981. This franchise mainly comprises of two different game genres.
This game made its first appearance in the 1981 arcade machine called Donkey Kong, in which he faced Mario. Also, Mario was appeared for the first time in this game.

We all aware of PING PONG and this game is the virtual version of it. Pong is one of the earliest arcade video games. It is simply a table tennis sports game which features simple 2-D graphics. This game was created by Atari (a Japanese game designer).
This game was modified later on and presented as an advanced Table Tennis game. (Genre was same not the video game was modified).

vi) SONIC the HedgeHog

The game was first released in North America in June 1991 and in PAL regions and Japan after its release in North America. This game features an anthropomorphic hedgehog which was named Sonic whose mission was to defeat Doctor Robotnik. It involves collecting rings as form of health and a simple control with jumping and attacking controlled by a single button.
This game is also available for Android and iOS at present.

MORTAL KOMBAT is an arcade fighting game developed and published by Midway in 1992 as the first title in Mortal Kombat series. Unlike other games which was developed by other developers and then licensed by Midway, this game was developed and licensed by Midway itself. This game was very common in every home in the late 90s.

viii) IGI

Though IGI was launched in 2000, yet we can consider it as a 90s game because of its graphics level (not that great) and its gameplay & functionality.
IGI is a tactical FPS video game developed by Innerloop Studios and released on December 15, 2000 by Eidos Interactive. After its release, IGI received mixed reviews due to its poorly programmed A.I., lack of save mode (which can save the game in case leave it in the middle) and the multiplayer features (as it was the shooting game). However, it was highly praised for its excellent sound design and graphics (as people in 2000 didn't seen any graphics of that level). It is one of the best games of its time.

These are the list of some memorable games which was famous in the 90s. These games must be one of your favourite games. As all the games is not mentioned here, you can let us know about your favourite games and later on, we will update it!
